Peter Nilsson

Peter Nilsson, the founder and Managing Director of the Yoga Academy was introduced to yoga in 1985 and has been teaching since 1989.

Peter studies regularly in India,making one visit to the Iyengars in Pune and since 1992 made many visits to his late guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore and was authorized to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Guruji.

With the support of international senior teachers he introduced Ashtanga Yoga to Auckland.

Peter co hosted with his wife Jude the 1999 and 2002 visits by Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath in 2007.
