Yoga in the heart of the city

Stillwaters Retreat Centre

We are very excited to announce a yoga retreat centre at North Cove on Kawau Island situated in a beautiful tidal estuary which rises steeply from the estuary frontage up to a level existing dwelling area consisting of mature native trees
mainly Puriri, Taiare and Ponga with Manuka at the top of the property. Weka, Keru, Tui and Kingfisher can be observed most days. We have Resource Consent to build a small jetty, boat ramp, boat locker and deck to provide access to the property; also to build a bathroom laundry and bedroom attached to existing two room (two storey) Bach and install a waste water treatment system for no more than six people staying overnight; two in the new bedroom and four in the existing loft.

We will be holding yoga retreats for small groups (no more than 6); 6 and 12 monthly members will be able to rent the property.

 

Building Progress:

March 2011- Stairs from the beach to house completed. The image shows a meditation area half way up amongst the Pongas.

Horray! we have building consent for Stage1 - Sea Wall, Jetty, Deck, Boat locker and Generator Shed, construction should start in February.
